Founder of Departure Films, Max has produced a wide variety of projects for clients including HBO, HGTV, VH1, A&E, Tru TV, Food Network, DIY, Biography Channel, AMC, TLC, and Discovery. As a Producer/Director, he has created such shows as Flip This House; The Vanilla Ice Project; Haunting Evidence; Rev Run’s Renovation; Vacation House For Free; and Million Dollar Contractor. Max has spent over 20 years polishing his unique and accomplished style in the fast changing world of reality television. He’s also an award winning editor for HBO’s Original Programming division for shows like Eagle Scout (Cable Ace Award & Emmy Nominee), and Roe vs. Roe.
Coming from the talent agency and broadcast network side, Matt joined Departure Films to help build and grow the company. Prior to Departure, Matt was an Emmy winning producer at Gotham TV, a Manager at NBC Entertainment working with SNL and Conan O’Brien, and at HBO’s Original Programming. Matt began his career in the mail room at The William Morris Agency and then as an Assistant in the Theatre and Motion Picture Department. At Departure Films, he oversees the development of new series and pilot production as well as the long running and innovative renovation series, “The Vanilla Ice Project”.
As a New York Producer with almost 30 years in the business, Tim has worked his way up the ladder on commercials, movies, and scripted- and reality-television. Early career feature and TV production credits include: Sidney Lumet’s 100 Centre Street, Law and Order: SVU, Finding Forrester, Donnie Brasco, Ransom, One Night Stand, Devil’s Advocate, City Hall. Since Line Producing the post-9/11 Project Rebirth, a decade-long, multi-million dollar rebuild and survivors-story film centered on the World Trade Center site, Tim’s been a Producer on HBO’s Real Sex and Cathouse series, served as Line Producer on A&E’s emmy-winning Paul McCartney Live In Red Square and directed dozens of promos, interstitials, and wrap-arounds. At Departure for 15 years, and after long stints hunting ghosts, chasing stolen cars, and renovating other people’s houses, he’s currently an E.P. on the upcoming Universal Kids’ Get Out of My Room.

Jessica Morgan Richter has been in the entertainment industry for over 15 years honing her skills as a producer. Prior to Departure, Jessica spent 6 years as a Director and Executive Producer of non-fiction and alternative programming at A&E Television Network, overseeing shows such as Hoarders, Flipping Vegas, Fix This Yard Sell This House, Flipping Boston, My Ghost Story and Flipped Off, among others. She graduated from Penn State University and currently lives in Harlem.
